Geyser not heating: information to gather before calling
No hot water is a symptom, not a diagnosis. A clear description helps Bobby discuss the next step without buying a replacement or parts before assessment.
Is every hot-water outlet affected?
Note whether all hot-water outlets behave the same way or whether one outlet is different. Say whether the water is completely cold, intermittently warm or running out sooner than usual. These observations are useful; opening fittings or electrical covers is not required.
When did the change begin?
Explain whether the problem started suddenly or gradually. Mention recent plumbing work, supply interruptions and any visible leak. If a make or capacity label is already safely visible, include it; do not climb into a roof to obtain it.
Separate plumbing assessment from a guessed electrical fault
Do not adjust wiring, bypass controls or open electrical parts of a geyser. Bobby can discuss the symptom and the appropriate assessment; any work must stay within the relevant trade’s scope. This article does not identify the failed component from the symptom alone.
Discuss the repair decision and quotation
Ask what needs checking and what a visit covers. Following assessment, discuss the identified fault, proposed repair or replacement, materials and charges. The linked guide explains questions for comparing those options.
